The Newest Addition to Byres Road - Sugarfall

Image
Hi and welcome back! This next blog post is focused on a newly-opened cafe on Byres Road - Sugarfall! Credit: @sugarfallcafe on Instagram About the Place Sugarfall launched last Saturday as the newest dessert and coffee shop on Byres Road. This cute little cafe serves up a range of coffees, cold drinks, home-made cakes, and sandwiches.  The interior is lovely and modern, nice and bright inside, with 4 two-seat tables and stools looking out onto the street. Credit: @sugarfallcafe on Instagram The Menu I can fully understand that a small cafe can't support a large menu, but that doesn't really make up for the complete lack of options at Sugarfall. We visited the place at 12.30pm on a Saturday, peak lunch time. Typically, similar cafes would try to have as much stock out as possible at this time in preparation for the lunch rush, but there were only two sandwiches available. I know the place brands itself as a dessert cafe, b...

Sweet Recreation – Glasgow's Own Shake Shack

Image
Hi and welcome back! This next review takes place in the south side of Glasgow at Sweet Recreation on Kilmarnock Road. About the Place Sweet Recreation is the newest bar & grill to open in Shawlands, Glasgow. The place offers a range of beers, cocktails, wine etc., and unknown soft drink brands that the waitress herself described as "boujee". As well as a good drinks selection, Sweet Recreation also offers a burger menu brought to you by Meat Stack, a burger company that provides their own goods and menus to different restaurants across the UK. Meat Stack's menu includes beef, chicken, and veggie burgers, and a range of sides.  Inside Sweet Recreation, the decor is modern and rustic, with old-fashioned brick walls and classic dangling lights. The vibes inside are quite chill (even though it was absolutely dead when I went), and the staff are very friendly. The Food From the Meat Stack menu, my friends and 1 all ordered the tray ...

A Fun New Night Out at Glasgow's Jungle Rumble Adventure Golf

Image
Welcome to another blog post! This time to talk about Jungle Rumble Adventure Golf - Glasgow's newest miniature golf course located on Bath Street in the city centre.  About the Place Jungle Rumble Adventure Golf opened earlier in June this year with 1 18-hole golf course themed 'Island Paradise' and 2 bars. Later on in August the establishment opened a 2nd 18-hole black lit course downstairs with the theme 'Indian Ocean'.  Before you start your game, you can stop off at the bar where there is a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, slushies, coffee, and there's even a jungle/island/paradise themed cocktail menu. And best of all, you can take the drinks round the course with you! Because nothing beats a game of tipsy mini golf.  The Experience Like any miniature golf course, Jungle Rumble was good fun. The design was impressive with huge black lit animals all over the course and the m...

Introducing Glasgow's New Favourite Pizza Place... Rockvilla Pizza!

Image
Hi and welcome back! I’m bringing you this next blog post to talk about my new favourite pizza joint in Glasgow – Rockvilla Pizza, located on Possil Road and just a short drive from the city centre. Credit: @rockvillapizza on Instagram   About the Place Rockvilla Pizza, which pays tribute to the area historically known as Rockvilla, opened a few months ago as Glasgow’s first cashless pizza restaurant. By only accepting card payment, their prices are made cheaper as they save money by having no till or cash-handling to deal with. As well as eating in, you can also collect your order to go, or get it delivered to you through JustEat, UberEats, and Deliveroo. The design inside is modern yet rugged, with black and yellow interior, and plants on the walls and tables that bring the place to life. Despite it being a restaurant, the place is actually very chill. When you’re ready to order, you can approach the employee behind the counter or use the self-order machine...

Have you heard the RUMOR around Glasgow?

Image
Hi and welcome to my blog! Let me begin with my recent experience at Glasgow's newest club RUMOR, located at Royal Exchange Square.  My first thought of RUMOR was about the stunning interior design. Flowers everywhere, pastel colours covering the entire room, neon signs hanging on the wall and suede chairs circling the bar.  The people behind RUMOR clearly channelled their girly side when they designed the place, and I love it.  Plus, 2 swings hanging by the entrance infront of the neon signs, AKA the perfect photo opp. How could I not? The Bar As well as the interior design, the music was great too - classic pop songs that you could listen to all night. The best part about the bar was definitely the drink selection - the cocktails!! There's not much else that needs to be said here because who doesn't love a cocktail? Porn star martinis, mojitos, margaritas, you name it! BUT, the drinks do cost a pretty penny. £7.50 ...
